1001 Kitchen tips # 9 - Get stuffed

4:00 pm December 19th 2007. It was the last Wednesday before Christmas and I suddenly realised there was something I had overlooked. Wednesday night is sausage making night at Home Farm, and if you haven’t reserved some sausage meat by then for your stuffing, then it’s all made into sausages.

That time I was lucky and just caught them in time, but what do you do for those times you forget and even the local butcher has run out?

Just buy the sausages and squeeze out the sausage meat.
The simplest solutions are often the most overlooked.
